I hate Christine! She's terrible, the poor guy doesn't even get out "that's all I ask of you" when she pulls off his mask. He isn't even really a bad guy, I think he would have changed if she gave him a chance. The only reason he killed to begin w/ is b/c he went insane from jealousy and being alone. He watched over her her entire life and taught her to sing and look what he gets!

I think that love is a very crazy thing... You see, she could have chose The Phantom, but she loved Raoul... That's why she reffused to The Phantom.
Still, The Phantom is what he is because there weren't people to love him... Just because he is half-ugly...

well i mean i love the phantom. (i wish i knew his name...) but i mean what the relationship was was a one sided obsession. and on top of that he lied to here on many occassions about who he was to begin with. to me if he had said "i love you" sooner a lot could've been avoided. i mean timing is everything! but i see both sides equally.

Eh, I can understand it. Raoul's a bit bland and boring, Christine's a bit bland and naive...They're a perfect match. Besides, she'd probably drive the Phantom mad within a matter of months...Put her out on the stage with a note on her- "Boring! Send out the new Ingenue.-OG"

His name is Eric, I still feel sympathetic for the Phantom. It seems that the majority of people see the anti-hero as a favorable character (that may just be me though :P), he/she is the underdog, unexpected, and as a character interesting. Example, who's the most popular X-men? Wolverine, Superman or Batman? More often than not Batman has proven to be more popular. Sweeney Todd, Iron Man, and others including the Phantom all follow suit as the character that isn't supposed to be a hero.
