Oh please, it's not like animals are angels when humans aren't doing anything to them. Think back to high school biology class, it's survival of the fittest outside of human civilization. Animals aren't as innocent as Disney movies make them out to be.
BTW, if you had type 1 diabetes, would you use insulin to save yourself? That was discovered through experiments on animals after all...

Animals are innocentOKAY! Of course they dont smile and talk...lolas they do in a Disney films! Anyway,animals dont consciously inflict pain, nor do they lie and their not malicious! By nature as you said it is survival this is obviously NOT THE WILD as you say!! This cat is defending himself, he feels threatened! Its not like he woke up and said hum, Im going to scratch the eyes out of a human today!!

Irrelevant; my point was that in the wild, animals are raised by animals, whereas pets (which I get the impression give people that distorted image of animals as innocent) are raised by humans, ergo the behaviour difference.
