Funny how these native people apparently honour wolves with dances, but they wear the head of a wolf on their head. Doesn't seem to honourable to kill and skin one just for a costume.

Man kills deer for sport. A lot of his livestock as well. Something tells me that $300 wouldn't be offered for offing a human.

I understand how ... ( 2 months ago by WileeC)
I understand how you can perceive that the natives don't honor the wolves but, actually, the natives don't kill them just for a costume. The natives use almost the entire wolf in various ways. The fur, meat, and even teeth and bones are used in various ways to make tools, clothing, food, etc. Natives do not kill animals just for the sake of killing them. They only kill what they can use or need and no more.

Most people who do not understand others' beliefs often do think certain practices are dishonorable or cruel. However, these natives do not make a habit of mass killing the wolves and wearing their furs or hides just to accessorize their wardrobe. Unlike those who think nothing of slipping on a pair of leather shoes every day. Check your own closet.

That one percent is ... ( 1 month ago by Retrieverman1)
That one percent is their own evolutionary history. Lots of wolf subspecies have coyote or perhaps golden jackal genese in them as well. On the MtDNA, which is the dna that each animal gets from its mother, dogs differ from wolves by at most 0.2 percent. This means all dogs descend from the same line as wolves, and are a subspecies of wolf.
Actually, bison are ... ( 1 month ago by Retrieverman1)
Actually, bison are not buffalo. That name comes from a mis-identification, probably enhanced when early European explorers thought that the Americas were Asia. Two bison species currently exist: the Wisent or European bison and the American bison (which includes woodland and plains subspecies). Buffalo are technically only found in Asia and Africa, although Asian water buffalo have been reared in Hungary, Bulgaria, and Italy. Bison are more closely related to cows than buffalo are.
