i agree with you in theory, but legalizing it would cause some problems. the main one being that the big time drug dealers would be the ones who'd profit the most from that. they're the ones with the fields/warehouses filled with the shit, and now we'd basically be rewarding them for running huge illegal drug operations.
what we should do is decriminalize it like we did in massachusetts recently. this way you'd only get fined (similar to a traffic citation) for small possession of the stuff
