I learned about him in high school and read cosmos long before I would ever watch it. I never knew he died while I was a freshman in high school until now. I also read most of Dragons of Eden and I now own the cosmos series on dvd. Carl Sagan is the man. His molecules have returned to the rest of the universe and his memories will be in our minds and he will always be a part of the universe.

Perhaps not, but science is likely infinite. So long as there is a curiousity for the way nature works there is a initial flame for an explosion of science. Carl Sagan, remembered or not in 2000 years (although we seem to remember people like Galilleo, Plato, Socrates et al.) has inspired inquisition into the way nature works and has done his part to further the progression of science for years to come.

I'm 99% sure we're not alone, because since it happened here, it's been proven possible. And if it's possible, then we should definitely not be alone. Because there are over 100 billion galaxies that each have over 100 billion stars. Smaller stars are more common and live longer. Red dwarf stars can last over 20 billion years. So out of over a billion billion red dwarfs, it would only take 1 in the universe's history to form with a habitable planet without a merging star for us not to be alone.

Science will last until man dies out. Even if man does get off the planet and start colonizing other worlds, it is no guarantee that the human race won't go extinct. There is always the possibility of some unforeseen calamity that would affect all the planets we'd been able to reach.

Not necessarily, imagine in 10,000 years time another species becomes sentient, say bonobo chimps or dolphins with dexterous digits on their fins. Science exists as long as nature exists waiting to be discovered which may, if we are replaced as the dominant species, be from scratch. As Carl Sagan said, the cosmos has found a way to know itself.

It is well documented that Hitler was a Christian, although it is frequently debated by Christians who for some reason can't accept that such a bloodthirsty tyrant could arise from their flock.
