It least I'm putting SOMETHING out there. It's not my job to do this, so I'm not going to go out of my way to meet the expectations of some people... unless you want to buy me a high quality video recorder and money to build a filming studio. Don't like it, don't watch, and move along.

I've seen a few of similar tutorials on Youtube, and those people managed to face the camera, and oh yeah, use words, without a Hollywood film studio. All I'm saying is you may wanna plan things out, or practice before you call your video a "tutorial," and then put yourself out on the internet like that. Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Planning things out would be extra time I have no interest in investing. I don't care how I compare to others. I'm into Chem Engineering as a career, not YouTube, so it's obvious I'm not serious about making videos. I record myself while I'm already in the process of applying makeup for the day. My philosophy in posting videos is if people benefit in any way, cool, if they don't, they'll just move along. I'm not obsessed with the number of views or subscribers I get.

At least one person appreciated my video, so it's not entirely useless. I have to categorize my videos with their titles. I suppose "Makeup Application" would be a more suitable but "Tutorial" is much shorter and convenient to use. I'm not going to go out of my way to please those that are just too anal with words.

See, that's the beauty of it: I don't have the equipment to post anything good on youtube, so rather than just add to the plethora of garbage on the internet, I restrain myself. I still stand by the idea that anything worth doing is worth doing well.

aren't u being hypocritical? even though her vid isn't pro, some people found it helpful, vs your comments which aren't useful to anyone. sounds like your text is already garbage on the internet to me. it's fine u don't make anything but don't put down others who at least bother to contribute anything or put themselves out there at all. u don't like it, so just go away and let people watch if they want to.

I don't know if you read my original post, but it was completely objective. There were no warm fuzzies and there was no mud slinging. I offered what I thought might be useful in the future when she made more videos. Every post that followed was a response to either the poster's belief that she couldn't do any better or other people butting into our string. If my comments are garbage, then so be it, but if someone is going to engage me, I'm going to give them the courtesy of responding.

It's not couldn't do any better, but has no desire to do any better. You don't get it do you? YouTube videos aren't a priority for ME. I don't want to take them seriously. It it's crap, then whatever, it's all relative.
