Animals was released in 1977, but they started writing it in 1974, with 'Dogs' and 'Sheep', although, they were titled 'You Gotta Be Crazy' and 'Raving and Drooling'. Those two songs were intended to be recorded and released on the Wish You Were Here album which was released in 1975 but were left out and subsequently changed. They did perform those two songs in concert during 1974 and 1975, though.
