Yes! That's right! Tom Welling would be perfect for Rick Hunter.. Friend and I spend an hour thinking of the perfect actor for him.. but couldn't think of one. But Tom Welling would be a great choice I think.
However.. I would like to know which one would be perfect for glorius Roy Fokker? Now, that's a catch!

When I see Tobey like Peter Parker, I still think "what ta fuck!!" cause spiderman role is to big for him..He doesn´t look good like Parker and hes not gonna look good like Rick by the way. Rick is too much for Tobey. In the other side, Warner brothers gold superstar Tom Welling is perfect Rick´s Hunter role: strong, sensitive, handsome, sweet, brave, etc...
I think Owen Willson is perfect for Roy Fokker´s.

There's one line I'm hoping they'll include in the live movie. It's the one from the final episode "To The Stars" where Gloval, in defiance of Khyron's attack, says: "Take her up!". With that eastern bloc accent, the theme song in the background and the SDF-1 lifting off, the whole scene plays out so freakin cool! What do you think, PSYQUE23?

Come on!, why some people want Lisa to look old?....In the serie shes young, among 19 and 24...it´s consider like a young woman...
Jennife conelly looks too old...Lisa character must be a woman like Hillary Duff (21-22) or something like that.....

To put it into perspective, Tobey Maguire's not exactly looking his teenaged best these days. Besides, Robotech has been slated as a "re-imagined" franchise. Plain and simple... Hillary Duff doesnt have enough depth to play Lisa. By the way, early episodes of Robotech have Rick asking "Hey, Roy, who's the 'old' sour puss?" and MinnMei asking "Who's that 'old' lady?". Teens only realy work in the anime sense. Evertything else is just 90210.

Remember that at the series begining, Lisa looked like a grumpy and serious women because of the Karl Riber death´s trauma. But eventually she shanges her cold aspect. She was just 4 years older than Rick (in macross she was just 3 years older than him) Instead Minemai was made by producers like a stupid un brain girl. Just remember his lines when she meet Max at Sweet 16. In front Rick she says that likes Max.(what a hooker!).
