Moses and the Hebrews are traveling out of Egypt, and god tells Moses to follow his pillar of cloud by day, and pillar of fire by night, to the holy mountain where Moses and the Hebrews will have their own land. Moses gets to the mountain, and he alone goes up. the mountain is covered in smoke, he cant see a thing.
so you see a mountain miles and miles away with a pillar of smoke coming out of it by day, and fire by night. when Moses came down, his face was "glowing"
