Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition Review (Part 1)
Uploaded by: SpoonyOne
Video Description:
While I was in front of the camera, I decided to follow-up on my initial "wait and see" attitude when it came to the new edition of D &D. It's been several game sessions into my new campaign, so here are my initial observations on the topic.
Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who grew up old-school when it comes to role-playing games.

But come on people...
Fourth edition is a marked improvement. If you find 4th simplified to 3.5 then you need to really consider why you feel that way. The fact that ever character has two progression paths means that there is literally twice as much character variation than in 3.0/3.5 where there was one fighter that worked well, one
All in all, I honestly think I'll stick to Palladium FRPG and Hackmaster.
I do agree, though, that I'll miss characters like my halfling rogue with his 5 Wisdom.
:D
I'm cheap.
the problem is racial bonuses are less specific. basicaly it doen't matter what you racisal bonuse are in. the net is all that matters. which makes half orks ridiculusly underpowerd.
i haven't even bought a PH for 4ed. from what i've heard i don't like it.
I have enjoyed listening to your review on 4E, I am still on the fence on buying the books, I started playing D&D with the 1st edition AD&D.
About halfway through your video you mention not being able to roll your stats anymore. I think the PHB mention 4 different method for generating your ability scores... method 4 is still rolling dice to randomly generate your score.
Thanks for your video review.
I think that on certain points like rolling for stats and keeping in critical hits that double damage (instead of maxing it) I will keep 3E. This game is all about imagination and as a play group we have taken the best of 3E and 4E (as well as some things from 2E! like weapon, spell and ability ideas). Thank you!
why do you care about a wizard, or a troll there not real, theres no denying it
breath weapon, why dont you launch the disc out the window
