It's BECAUSE Maya Angelou is so far away from a roast like this that makes it funny.

For one, The Soup is a great show and they don't try to say they're above pop culture because obviously, this is a show based on pop culture and all the garbage on TV these days and without it, the people who work for this show would be out of a job so I highly doubt that those are the intentions
