If by 1.8 the speed of light you mean 1.8X, you are sadly mistaken my friend. Quasars are only seen in very distant regions, they are thought to be the birth of galaxies therefore occured a very long time ago,anything moving away from us faster than light at these huge distances we would not be able to see because its light will never reach us. also from your Quasars perspective it is us moving away fom it, at "1.8 the speed of light" does this mean we "have time travel"?

What happens to causality if something like this is proven? If you were to send a particle back in time and receive it at an earlier point, is it not possible to receive a particle package was going to be sent, and then prevent yourself from sending it in the future given the knowledge that it was already sent? Would this prove the existence of multiple time lines and/or realities?

BUt wouldnt time travel its self create the end of the world?
If you say traveled back 1 day. (24hrs)
You would go back 24hrs, when you get to the 23hr 59mins 59 sec the next second would rewind you back to 1 day again since you time travelled, because time travel would also affect every one else you would in effect create a scratched CD effect constantly going back over and over again without escaping the loop

Huh? WTF man slow down! I'll tell just give up. If time travel did exist or was ultimately possible, today in present time, we'd know time travel like it wasn't a phenomenon but something of reality just like splitting an atom. Humanity today would know time travel as a thing of ancient history because future time travelers would have been visiting so far off back then . Oh gosh I'll just shut up.

u and v stand for both the velocity's you count up and c for the velocity of light.

The furthest objects we CAN see are moving away at nearly the speed of light, anything moving away faster than light due to the expansion of the universe. From the objects point of view it is stationary with respect to its local space-time. You obviously didn't even read/understand my reply, buy a book on reletivity read it and the we can continue this debate if you still don't get it. Don't believe everything you read on the net, there are a lot of whackos on the net.

Well what I was saying is, if you go back in time, every time you reach the time you travelled back in time you would rewind so you would never leave that loop
So lets say...
25th dec
You travel back to 24th dec in a time machine (24hrs for argument sake)
But on the 25th december time pauses for all, because originally you travelled back to 24th, so you would essentially be in a endless loop of 24hrs
